ZATCA QR code reader
Pick a photo or screenshot of a Saudi e-invoice, or paste the QR text, and this free reader shows what the ZATCA QR code holds: seller name, seller VAT number, invoice date and time, total with VAT and the VAT amount. It checks the VAT number format and that the VAT is 15%. Everything runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded.
Or paste the text from the QR code:
What does each field mean?

Common questions
What is inside a ZATCA QR code?
A ZATCA e-invoice QR code holds Base64-encoded TLV fields. Phase 1 has five: seller name, seller VAT number, invoice date and time, invoice total with VAT, and VAT total. Phase 2 invoices add the invoice hash, the digital signature and the public key, and simplified invoices also carry ZATCA's stamp signature.
Is my invoice uploaded anywhere?
No. The photo is read by your own browser and the QR text never leaves the page.
Why does my phone camera show random text when I scan the QR?
Because the ZATCA QR is not a link: it is Base64 text with the invoice fields packed inside. A normal camera app shows the raw text. Paste that text here to see the fields.
Does a valid-looking QR mean the invoice is genuine?
Not by itself. This reader shows what the QR says and checks the format and the 15% VAT. It does not verify the digital signature or whether ZATCA cleared or received the invoice. For a supplier you do not know, also check the VAT number on the ZATCA website.
Can BookMyBills read the QR on every bill my team sends?
Yes. BookMyBills reads the QR on every bill sent in your WhatsApp groups, checks it against the printed bill and books 15% input VAT only on valid tax invoices.
